Dr. Randall Lazicki

Dr. Stephen Bailey is the Director of the Human Movement Laboratory in the Department of Physical Therapy Education (DPTE) at Elon University. Dr. Bailey also serves at the research coordinator within DPTE at Elon. His main research interest is focused on cognitive and psychomotor function during prolonged exercise. Dr. Bailey also is interested in changes in physical function and perceived quality of life in patients with COPD as a result of participation in pulmonary rehabilitation. In the clinic, Dr. Bailey has expertise in cardiopulmonary physical therapy. Dr. Bailey is a fellow of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Editor-in-Chief Advisor

Randall Lazicki is currently a Senior Level Physical Therapist and Outreach Athletic Trainer for Duke Sports Medicine Physical Therapy. Dr. Lazicki graduated from Elon University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program where he was instrumental in developing the Journal of Student Physical Therapy Research and served as the first Student Editor-in-Chief. He received a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Wingate University and holds certifications as a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.

Danielle Gilbert is currently in her second year of Elon University's Doctor of Physical Therapy Program.  Danielle graduated Magna Cum Laude as a Leadership Fellow with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Elon University in December 2008, immediately entering Elon's DPT program following graduation.  She has presented undergraduate research at the American College of Sports Medicine Conference and graduate level research at the North Carolina Physical Therapy Association Conference.

Student Editor-in-Chief

Tiffany Champion is currently in her second year of Elon University's Doctor of Physical Therapy program.  Tiffany graduated from Liberty University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science.  Following graduation from Liberty, she worked as an aquatics director at the YMCA in South Carolina for two years prior to entering Elon University's Physical Therapy program in 2009.  Tiffany still remains very active in the aquatics scene.
